Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook inspection of Rajahmundry Railway Station, Vijayawada Division today i.e., 14th September, 2023. He was accompanied by Shri Narendra Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division and other senior officials during the inspection.
Shri Arun Kumar Jain inspected the crew control office at Rajahmundry station and reviewed the working of crew booking lobby. He checked the Crew Management System where Loco Pilots and Guards are booked for duty. The General Manager laid emphasis on providing adequate rest before the running staff are booked for duty and instructed to ensure that the crew links are efficiently devised so as to ensure adequate rest for the staff, while ensuring proper efficient deployment of running staff for duty. He also interacted with the Loco Pilots and Assistant Loco pilots and enquired about the working system and complications if any. He also inspected the crew running room wherein he reviewed the facilities provided for loco staff and interacted with the loco pilots. Before commencing the inspection of Rajahmundry station, the General Manager had conducted a rear window inspection of the section between Duvvada and Rajahmundry.
The General Manager conducted a detailed inspection of Rajahmundry Railway station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities and facilities available at the station like Multipurpose stalls, one Station one Product stall, Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM’s). He also conducted a detailed review of the facilities that have been planned for upgradation at the station. He discussed about the timely execution of the upgradation plans so as to ensure provision of modern passenger facilities at the earliest. The General Manager inspected the circulating area of the station and also visited the upcoming Rail coach Restaurant which is situated in the premises of the station. Shri Margani Bharat, Hon’ble MP, Rajahmundry, Shri Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose, Hon’ble MP, Rajya Sabha and other public representatives met Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR and submitted representations at Rajahmundry station during inspection.
Later, the General Manager carried out a rear window inspection between Rajahmundry and Vijayawada section, wherein he examined the safety aspects of tracks and signalling system.
