Shri Bhagwanth Khuba, Hon'ble Minister of State for New & Renewable Energy, Chemicals & Fertilizers graces the event at Railway Function Hall, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Addressing the gathering, Shri Bhagwanth Khuba, Hon'ble Union Minister of State for New & Renewable Energy, Chemicals & Fertilizers conveyed his heartfelt greetings on Vishwakarma Jayanti. Shri Bhagwanth Khuba, Hon'ble MoS stated that Vishwakarma Jayanti is a celebration of creativity, talent, and hard work of artisans and craftsmen whose contribution to the society is invaluable. Shri Bhagwanth Khuba termed them as the real karmayogis who always believe in hard work and dedication. Hon'ble Minister said that under Vishwakarma there are 18 subgroups working under various occupation like barber, cobbler, tailor, brick mason, welder and carpenter etc. without whom our life is totally unimaginable and unsustainable. Shri Bhagwanth Khuba lauded the grand vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji who has taken the country to global level and ensures the upliftment of the backward classes. The Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision is also supporting them through skill development, training and providing economic aid without any collaterals. Such dedicated and visionary steps will make India a leading economy by 2047. Shri Bhagwanth Khuba also said that during these 9 years under the leadership of Shri Modi ji there has been humongous transformation and manifold rise in average individual income of all the citizens. on this auspicious occasion, he appealed to the entire Vishwakarma fraternity to utilise this golden opportunity provided by the Central Government to make their lives self-sustainable through self-employment.
Shri Malladi Vishnu, MLA, Vijayawada Central, Shri Narendra A Patil, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division, South Central Railway; Shri N Yuvraj, IAS, Secretary to Govt. of AP, Industries and Commerce, Officials of MSME Ministry, Senior Railway Officials took part in the event. Around 2000 artisans, craftsmen from in and around Vijayawada came forward for participation in the historic event and submitted their names for registering under PM Vishwakarma portal.

Eligibility:
(i)Anartisanorcraftspersonworkingwithhandsandtoolsandengaged in one of the family-based traditional trades specified above,in the unorganized sector on self-employment basis, shall be eligibleforregistration.
(ii)The benefits shall be restricted to one member per family and thedefinitionofthefamilyshallbe:husband,wifeandunmarriedchildren.
(iii)Theageofthebeneficiaryshouldbe18yearsoraboveonthedateofregistration.
(iv)She/he should be engaged in one of the above eighteen family-basedtraditionaltradesonthedateofregistrationandshouldnothaveavailedloansundersimilarcreditbasedschemesforself-employment/business development in the past 5 years, e.g. PMEGPandPMSVANidhiofCentralGovernmentorStateGovernment.However, the beneficiaries of MUDRA and PM SAVNidhi who haverepaidtheirloan willbeeligible underPMVishwakarma.
