Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India will flag off Kacheguda – Yesvantpur & Vijayawada – MGR Chennai Central Vande Bharat Express trains on 24th September, 2023 through Video link. The Hon’ble Prime Minister will flag-off nine Vande Bharat trains across the Nation including two services in the SCR jurisdiction. Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology, Govt. of India; Shri Raosaheb Dadarao Patil Danve, Union Minister of State for Railways, Coal and Mines, Govt. of India; Smt. Darshana Vikram Jardosh, Union Minister of State for Railways & Textiles, Govt. of India will also participate in the program through virtual mode simultaneously.
I.A function will be held at Kacheguda Railway Station simultaneously. Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Hon’ble Governor, Telangana State; Shri K. Chandrashekar Rao, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Telangana State; Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister of Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region, Govt. of India are likely to participate in the program.
II.A function will also be held at Vijayawada Railway Station simultaneously. Shri A. Abdul Nazeer, Hon’ble Governor, Andhra Pradesh; Shri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh are likely to participate in the program.
The most prestigious train on Indian Railways network -Vande Bharat Express will now run between the two cities in southern states which are popular hubs for Information Technology. This is the third Vande Bharat from the state of Telangana while this is the first to connect Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The train is indigenously designed with innovative features and State of the art technology.
Hyderabad – Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express train will be operated between Kacheguda and Yesvantpur via Mahabubnagar of Telangana, Kurnool, Anantapur & Dharmavaram of Andhra Pradesh. The train consists of 1 Executive Class and 7 Chair Car coaches with seating capacity of 530 passengers.This will be the fastest train between the two cities with least journey time when compared with other trains in this route.
Vijayawada – MGR Chennai Central Vande Bharat Express train will be operated between Vijayawada and MGR Chennai Central of Tamil Nadu via Tenali, ongole, Nellore & Renigunta of Andhra Pradesh. The train consists of 1 Executive Class and 7 Chair Car coaches with seating capacity of 530 passengers.This will be the first & fastest train in this route between Vijayawada and Chennai.
