Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway conducted a detailed review meeting on Safety, punctuality of train operations and freight loading performance of the zone today i.e., 04th October, 2023 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Shri R. Dhananjayulu, Additional General Manager, SCR also participated in the meeting along with all the Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded joined the review meeting through video conference.
During the review meeting, Shri Arun Kumar Jain instructed the officials and staff to strictly adhere to the safety rules and procedures as per the Railway board guidelines. The General Manager advised that regular counseling sessions along with practical demonstration of safe working practices should be given regularly to field level staff. He advised the officials to focus on to intensifying the inspections to ensure safe passage of trains. The General Manager also discussed on the crew working hours, he instructed all the DRMs to meticulously plan on proper rest to be given to the crew members.
Shri Arun Kumar Jain also conducted a detailed review on freight loading operations of the zone. He reviewed the commodity wise loading such as coal, cement, iron ore, food grain, fertilizer, other commodities etc. He commended the Officers and staff for the performance during the current financial year. He advised the officials to continue the efforts to further improve the freight loading so as to meet the requirements of the freight customers and achieve the targets set for the year.
Shri Arun Kumar Jain held a review on punctuality performance of trains across the zone. He examined the division wise punctuality statistics and instructed the Divisional Railway Managers to identify and monitor the trains which have lost punctuality and take appropriate measures for improving their punctuality.
