-RPF/SCR rescues 72 children during September, 2023 under ‘Operation Nanhe Fariste’
-RPF has confiscated Ganja valued more than Rs.1.94 Crores with the arrest of 08 persons during the month of September-2023
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is entrusted with the responsibility of security of railway property, passenger areas and passengers. The force has been working round the clock for providing safe, secure and comfortable travel experience to the Rail users. RPF is always in the forefront, at times even risking their own lives to safeguard the Railway property and also the lives of passengers.In order to give focused attention to the safety of Railway property, Passenger security and providing assistance to passengers while taking coordinated action with Government Police and other Law Enforcement Agencies, RPF has launched several operations and recorded noteworthy performance
A brief of the achievements of RPF/SCR during the month of September 2023 are as under –
1.Under “Operation YATRI SURAKSHA” during September-2023, RPF/SCR has arrested 58 offenders and recovered stolen property worth Rs. 56.78 lakhs with registration of 53 cases against them.
2.Under “Operation AMANAT”, RPF personnel provided help in securing passenger belongings and handed over them to rightful owners.RPF retrieved more than 175 belongings of passengers valued at more than Rs. 49 lakhs in the month of September-2023.
3.RPF has launched “Operation NARCOS”to curb narcotic smuggling through Railways. Under this operation, RPF has confiscated Ganja valued more than Rs.1.94 Crores with the arrest of 08 persons during the month of September-2023.
4.Under “Operation NANHE FARISTE”, RPF/SCR undertook the noble cause of identifying and rescuing children in need of care and protection who are lost/separated from their family due to various reasons.72 children (60 Boys + 12 girls) have been provided safety by RPF/SCR in the month of September-2023.
5.RPF has launched “Operation AAHT” under this mission in the month of September-2023, RPF/SCR has rescued 16 boys from the clutches of 03 Traffickers.
6.Under “Operation Jeevan Raksha”, RPF/SCR saved life of 01 female passenger from the Jaw of death during the month of September -2023.
7.Under “Operation SATARK”in the month of September-2023, liquor worth Rs.77,520/- transporting illegally through trains was seized with arrest of 03 persons and subsequently handed over to Excise Department, who registered 08 cases against the offenders.
8.RPF has launched “Operation UPALABDH” to curb the activities of touts substantially and make railway tickets available to the common man.During the month of September-2023, 18 cases were registered by RPF/SCR with arrest of 14 Touts with seizure of 95 live tickets and total tickets valued Rs.2,51,689/-.
9.RPF has launched “Operation RAIL SURAKSHA” to curb the activities of offences against the railway property. During the month of September-2023, 34 cases were detected by recovering the stolen railway property worth Rs.89,40,007/-.
