Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager Holds Review on Safety of Trains Operations

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway conducted a detailed review meeting o­n Safety, punctuality of train operations of the zone today i.e., 25th October, 2023 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Shri R. Dhananjayulu, Additional General Manager, SCR also participated in the meeting along with all the Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded joined the review meeting through video conference.

 During the review meeting, Shri Arun Kumar Jain instructed the officials and staff to strictly adhere to the safety rules and procedures as per the Railway board guidelines. The General Manager advised that top priority should be given to maintenance of tracks and bridges for safe running of trains. He also advised that focus to be given o­n loop lines, points and turnouts to run maximum permissible speeds at stations.

 The General Manager reviewed the cases of stone pelting and miscreant activities in railway premises. He instructed all the Divisions to strengthen the security at all identified vulnerable areas. He advised the officials to focus o­n to intensifying the security inspections to ensure safety of rail passengers. The General Manager also discussed o­n the crew working hours, he instructed all the officials to meticulously plan o­n proper rest to be given to the crew members.

 Shri Arun Kumar Jain held a review o­n punctuality performance of trains across the zone. He examined the division wise punctuality statistics and instructed the Divisional Railway Managers to identify and monitor the train operations and take appropriate measures for improving their punctuality.
