Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister to Lay Foundation Stone for Komuravelli (H) Railway Station

Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Development of North East Region will lay the foundation stone for the construction of Komuravelli (H) Railway station o­n 15thFebruary, 2024. Smt. Konda Surekha, Hon'ble Minister of  Environment & Forests, Endowment, Govt. of Telangana; Shri Ponnam Prabhakar, Hon'ble Minister of Transport and BC Welfare, Govt. of Telangana; Smt. V. Roja Radhakrishna Sharma, Hon'ble Chairperson, Zilla Praja Parishad, Siddipet; Shri K. Raghotham Reddy, Hon'ble Member of Legislative Council; Shri T. Jeevan Reddy, Hon'ble Member of Legislative Council; Shri V. Yadava Reddy, Hon'ble Member of Legislative Council; Shri Deshapathi Srinivas, Hon'ble Member of Legislative Council; Dr. P. Rajeshwar Reddy, Hon'ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Jangaon are likely to grace the occasion. Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway and other senior Railway officials will also be present.

 Komuravelli village situated in Siddipet District is home to Komuravelli Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple. Every year, thousands of pilgrim passengers come to this temple town to take the blessings of presiding deity. Considering the importance of this temple town, Ministry of Railways has approved opening of a Halt Station at Komuravelli in central Telangana. The new halt station will provide first time train connectivity, fulfilling the aspirations of the people in the region. This Station falls o­n the Manoharabad – Kothapalli New Railway Line. Recently, a part of this project, i.e., Manoharabad – Siddipet was dedicated by our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri. Narendra Modi ji.

 The proposed Komuravelli station falls in between existing stations viz., Lakhadaram and Duddeda. A New Station Building will be provided with booking window for sale of tickets along with Cover Over Platform, Proper lighting facility, fans and other passenger amenities like Waiting Halls, etc as per the norms. The New halt station at Komuravelli will provide safe, fast and cost-effective rail travel to the passengers.

 The proposed station is located 3 Kms away from the temple which will be convenient for pilgrim passengers. In addition to pilgrims, the station will also be beneficial for students, small businessmen, regular travelers and daily labourers. o­nce the entire new Railway Line

(i.e., Manoharabad – Kothapalli) is completely commissioned, it will link important pilgrim places like Vemulawada, Bheemeshwaralayam, Kondagattu, Koti Lingeshwara Swamy temple, etc. The station will aid in the social-economic development of the people in the region.
