30 Jan Sadharan Special Trains for ‘Medaram Jathara’

 

-SCR notifies 30 Special trains this year compared to 20 services previous time.

 

-Special Trains are being started from Secunderabad, Adilabad, Nizamabad, Khammam and Sirpur Kaghaznagar stations to Warangal.

South Central Railways will be operating special train services to meet the pilgrim rush going for the Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Jathara. As the festival is being held from 21 – 24 February this year, Railways have will be operating special trains o­n all these days for meeting the transportation needs of the pilgrim passengers. Special trains are being operated to from different places to Warangal station, which is the nearest railway station to reach the holy place.

All these special trains will be operated as Jan Sadharan Special Trains having completely unreserved coaches. The trains will start their operation with effect from 21st February 2024. In addition, unlike previous time wherein special trains were operated from o­nly two locations, this year, these Jan Sadharan Special Trains will be operated from 5 locations i.e., Secunderabad, Adilabad, Khammam, Nizamabad and Sirpur Kaghaznagar. These trains will also stop at all major stations enroute benefitting several pilgrim passengers along the route to avail the transport services.

Out of 30 Jansadharan special trains, 10 trains will operate between Secunderabad-Warangal-Secunderabad; 08 services each between Sirpur Kaghaznagar-Warangal-Sirpur Kaghaznagar and Nizamabad – Warangal – Nizamabad and 2 services each between Adilabad – Warangal – Adilabad and Khammam – Warangal – Khammam.

On this occasion, Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manger, South Central Railway said that these special trains are being operated from various places for the benefit of rail passengers. He said these trains will provide o­ne of the safest, fastest and economical modes of transportation for the pilgrim passengers to reach Medaram Jatara and back.

The details of the special trains along with their originating / destination stations, dates of service and enroute stoppages are as follows:

1.Secunderabad – Warangal - Secunderabad Special Train from 21st to 25th Feb, 2024 :

 Accordingly, Train No. 07014 Secunderabad - Warangal Special train will depart Secunderabad at 09.40 hrs from 21st to 25th February, 2024 and arrive Warangal at 13.00 hrs o­n the same day.

In the return direction, Train No. 07015 Warangal - Secunderabad special train will depart Warangal at 13.55 hrs from 21st to 25th February, 2024 and arrive Secunderabad at 18.20 hrs o­n the same day.

 

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Moula-Ali, Cherlapalli, Ghatkesar, Bibinagar, Bhongir, Yadadri, Wangapalli, Aler, Pembarti, Jangaon, Raghunathpalli, Ghanapur, Pindial and Kazipet stations in both the directions.

 

2.Sirpur Kagazhnagar – Warangal - Sirpur Kagazhnagar Special Train from 21stto 24th Feb, 2024 :

Train No. 07017 Sirpur Kagazhnagar - Warangal special train will depart Sirpur Kagazhnagar at 05:30 hrs from 21stto 24th February, 2024 and arrive Warangal at 10.00 hrs o­n the same day.

In the return direction, Train No. 07018 Warangal - Sirpur Kagazhnagar special train will depart Warangal at 12:00 hrs from 21stto 24th February, 2024 and arrive Sirpur Kagazhnagar at 16:00 hrs o­n the same day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Ralapet, Asifabad Rd, Repallewada, Rechni Rd, Bellampalli, Mandamarri, Ravindrakhani, Mancherial, Peddampet, Ramagundam, Raghavapuram, Peddapalli, Kothapalli, Kolanur, Odela, Potkapalli, Bisugir Shariff, Jammikunta, Uppal, Hasanparti Rd and Kazipet Town stations in both the directions.

3.Nizamabad – Warangal - Nizamabad Special Train from 21st to 24th Feb, 2024:

Accordingly, Train No. 07019 Nizamabad - Warangal Special train will depart Nizamabad at 07.05 hrs from 21st to 24th February, 2024 arrive/depart Secunderabad at 11.00 / 11.10 hrs (enroute) and arrive Warangal at 13.45 hrs o­n the same day.

In the return direction, Train No. 07020 Warangal - Nizamabad special train will depart Warangal at 14.45 hrs from 21st to 24th February, 2024 arrive / depart Secunderabad at 17.20 / 17.30 hrs (enroute) and arrive Nizamabad at 22.30 hrs o­n the same day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Kamareddi, Akanapet, Mirzapalli, Wadiram, Manoharabad, Medchal, Bolaram, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Cherlapalli, Ghatkesar, Bibinagar, Bhongir, Wangapalli, Aler, Jangaon, Raghunathpalli, Ghanapur, Pindial and Kazipet stations in both the directions.

4. Adilabad – Warangal - Adilabad Special Train:

Accordingly, Train No. 07023 Warangal – Adilabad Special train will depart Warangal at 16.00 hrs o­n 21stFebruary, 2024 arrive / depart Nizamabad at 20.35 / 20.45 hrs (enroute) and will arrive Adilabad at 04.30 hrs next day.

Train No. 07024 Adilabad – Warangal Special Train will depart Adilabad at 23.30 hrs o­n 22ndFebruary, 2024 arrive / depart Nizamabad at 05.20 / 05.30 hrs (enroute) and will arrive Warangal at 12.45 hrs next day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Kazipet, Hasanparthi Rd, Jammikunta, Peddapalli, Sultanabad, Karimnagar, Gangadhara, Lingampet Jagityal, Koruntla, Metpalli, Mortad, Armoor, Nizamabad, Basar, Dharmabad, Umri, Mudkhed, Bhokar, Hadgaon Road, Himayatnagar, Sahasrakund, Dhanora, Kinwat and Ambari stations in both the directions.

5. Khammam – Warangal - Khammam Special Train:

Accordingly, Train No. 07021 Khammam – Warangal Special Train will depart Khammam at 10.00 hrs o­n 23rdFebruary, 2024 and arrive Warangal at 12.20 hrs o­n the same day.

In the return direction, Train No. 07022 Warangal – Khammam Special Train will depart Warangal at 13.55 hrs o­n 23rd February, 2024 and arrive Khammam at 16.30 hrs o­n the same day.

Enroute these special trains will stop at Mallemadugu, Papatapalli, Dornakal, Gundratimadugu, Mahbubabad, Kesamaduram, Nekonda and Chintalpalli stations in both the directions.

*All these special trains will have Second Class Seating Coaches.
