Shri Arun Kumar Jain, GM/SCR Presents ‘Man of the Month’ Safety Awards to Staff

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway presented “Man of the Month” safety awards to 10 employees who have shown exemplary alertness and dedication to the duty over the zone during a safety review meeting held today i.e., 29th April, 2024 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. Shri R. Dhananjayulu, Additional General Manager, also participated in the meeting along with all the Principal Heads of Departments. Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRMs) of all six Divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded joined the review meeting through video conference.

Shri Arun Kumar Jain presented the “Man of the month” safety awards to 10 employees (Secunderabad Division - 02, Hyderabad Division – 01, Vijayawada Division – 04, Guntakal Division - 01, Nanded Division – 01 and Guntur - 01) for showing alertness and taking timely action to prevent unsafe conditions.

The General Manager congratulated the awardees and appreciated them for the commitment in performing duties with utmost dedication. He also stated that these awards will motivate other employees to work honestly with dedication towards safety, which will help the railways for safe operation of trains and to achieve good performance in all aspects. The employees belonged to various categories like Loco pilots, Station Masters, Technicians, Points man, Key/Gate Man and Track maintainers etc.

Later, Shri Arun Kumar Jain conducted a detailed review of the safety of train operations over the zone. He stated that safety should be accorded the top priority. He instructed to continue the safety drives over the zone and to carryout surprise inspections to ensure alertness and avoid untoward incidents. He advised the officials to conduct regular counselling sessions for all field level staff including loco pilots, track maintainers, guards etc.,

The General Manager also conducted a detailed review o­n progress of station upgradation works. The officials made a power point presentation o­n the o­ngoing works and the status of progress.  He advised the officials to continue the efforts to further speed up the station up gradation works so as to meet the requirements and achieve the targets set.
