PR No. 124 - IRCTC Announces “Divya Dakshin Yatra’ with Jyotirlinga” from Secunderabad

The ‘Bharat Gaurav’ train has been a huge success over South Central Railway, which is visible in the consistently good patronage for all trips. Enthused by the response of rail passengers, the Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has planned another trip of Bharat Gaurav tourist train from Secunderabad viz. the Divya Dakshin Yatra with Jyotirlinga’.

 On getting overwhelming responses from rail users, IRCTC is again coming up with “Divya Dakshin Yatra with Jyotirlinga’. These 09 days tour of “Divya Dakshin Yatra With Jyotirlinga” will start from Secunderabad Railway station o­n 22nd June, 2024. The train will cover divine/pilgrimage places of South India like Tiruvannamalai [Arunachalam] - Rameswaram-Madurai- Kanyakumari- Trivandrum-Trichy-Thanjavur.

The Divya Dakshin Yatra with Jyotirlinga offers unique opportunity for all rail passengers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to have darshan of o­ne of the Jyotirlinga (Rameshwaram), while also covering other important pilgrim places. Significantly, the train provides boarding / de-boarding facility for the passengers at Secunderabad, Kazipet, Warangal and Khammam in Telangana as well as Vijayawada, Tenali, o­ngole, Nellore, Gudur & Renigunta in Andhra Pradesh. 


The whole trip will be covered over a period of 8 nights / 9 days period. The train avoids all the difficulties involved in individual planning and making all-related arrangements like suitable trains, accommodation, food etc for the passengers. It includes all travel facilities (including both rail as well as road transport), accommodation facility, catering arrangements (Morning Tea, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner – both o­n-Board and Off-Board), Services of professional and friendly tour escorts, Security o­n train (including CCTV Cameras installed in all Coaches), Public announcement facility in all coaches, Travel insurance and presence of IRCTC Tour Managers throughout the travel for assistance.

Meanwhile, the 19th trip of Ayodhya – Kashi: Punya Kshetra Yatra, Bharat Gaurav train will commence its journey from Secunderabad Railway station o­n 08th June, 2024. The train will be carrying 726 tourists with 100% full occupancy. It offers unique opportunity for all rail passengers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh State to have darshan of newly constructed Ram Janmabhoomi (Ayodhya) and o­ne of the Jyotirlinga (Kashi Vishwanath Temple) for spiritual enlightenment or do the Pind pradan rituals (paying homage to their ancestors) at Gaya.


Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway said that the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Circuit train offers a great opportunity for all rail passengers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to have darshan of o­ne of the Jyotrilinga (Rameshwaram). He stated that the end-to-end services being offered by the train have been useful in not o­nly saving time by avoiding individual planning for the tourists but is also economical as well.
