-The General Manager reviewed the Performance of Vijayawada Division

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, presided over Safety Seminar and interacted with the Loco Pilot trainees at Electric Traction Training Center (ETTC), Satyanarayanapuram, Vijayawada today i.e., 01stJuly, 2024. He emphasized upon the importance of safety in railway operations.

Shri Arun Kumar Jain stressed that the role of Loco Pilots and the frontline staff is very important and that they carry a huge responsibility. He also stated the importance of rules and told them to understand the purpose behind the rules to proactively prevent accidents and ensure smooth train operations. He exhorted them to prioritize safety and always utilize their rest periods for resting o­nly and come to duty with a calm mind. Around 400 Loco Pilot Trainees from SCR Zone attended the Safety Seminar.

Later, Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR held a Performance Review Meeting at Divisional Conference Hall, Vijayawada. Shri Narendra A. Patil, Divisional Railway briefed GM, SCR regarding the developmental and infrastructure projects under progress in the Division. Shri Arun Kumar Jain, GM emphasized o­n expediting the pending Vijayawada – Gudur tripling works, undergoing Automatic Block Signaling in North Section and electrification works to increase the sectional capacity, decongest the section for leveraging the train operations in the busy Howrah – Chennai Corridor.

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, GM stressed o­n improvement of punctuality, safety and loading performance in train operations. He advised the officials to implement proper planning for executing the tasks in time without any delay or affecting the smooth running of train operations.

The General Manager directed the Officials to devise ways and means to increase the earnings and reduce the expenditure to achieve healthy operating ratio and implement digitization of records at all levels with periodical and regular updates. He also complimented the Divisional Officials and Staff for their best performance and advised them to maintain the high safety standards carrying forward the passenger aspirations.
