PR No. 196 - Regional Level Bal Mahotsav for Cubs & Bulbuls Concludes

- Shri Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, SCR presented prizes and certificates to the participants

Shri Arun Kumar Jain, Patron, SCR Bharat Scouts and Guides & General Manager, SCR was the Chief Guest for the valedictory function of Regional Bal Mahotsav held today i.e., 6 th July, 2024 at Railway Mixed High School, South Lallaguda, Secunderabad. The General Manager gave away the prizes and certificates to the children. The Regional Level Bal Mahostav for Cubs and Bulbuls of Southern States hosted by South Central Railway State Bharat Scouts and Guides from 3rd to 7th July 2024 at Railway Mixed High School, South Lallaguda, Secunderabad.

Shri Arun Kumar Jain while addressing the large gathering of young Cubs & Bulbuls, said that he is really happy to be with the young children in the age group of 5 to 10 years who are participating in this Regional Level Bal Mahotsav of Southern Region. It is first of its kind for South Central Railway to host such an event for Cubs and Bulbuls. The theme chosen for the Bal Mahotsav ‘Save Nature for Our Future’ is the need of the hour to save our nature from Climate change issues. All of you should pledge not to use plastic material and should replace them by eco-friendly material.

Shri P. Kishore Babu, State Chief Commissioner during his address blessed the children and advised children to develop good habits such as not to waste water, electricity, to grow more greenery. Shri A.K. Rawat, State Secretary, SCR Bharat Scouts & Guides and Dy. CMM, Coaching, SCR presented the Vote of Thanks.

Shri Lokesh Vishnoi, President & Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division, Shri P. Kishore Babu, State Chief Commissioner, SCR Bharat Scouts & Guides, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, SCR and Senior Scout officials were also present. The Utsav will be closed with the conduct of All-Faith Prayer tomorrow i.e., 7th July, 2024 followed by flag ceremony and dispersal procedure.

Regional Level Bal Mahotsav:

During the 05 days Utsav, 225 Cubs and Bulbuls along with Cub Masters and Flock Leaders from Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Southern Railway and South Central Railway participated. The Cubs & Bulbuls participated in several activities during the camp such as adventure games, jungle dances, storytelling, play acting, making handicrafts using waste material, group singing, quiz, social service, food plaza, folk dances etc. This activity helps them in spiritual development and religious tolerance besides respecting their own religion.

Shri D. R. K. Sarma, Leader Trainer from National Headquarters, Bharat Scouts and Guides is the Leader of the event was assisted by trainers from Kerala, Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and South Central Railway.
