- The train will stop at Bhadrachalam Road Station on its journey from Rameswaram to New Delhi
IRCTC, the premier Travel and Tourism Company under Ministry of Railways, has planned a series of departures of Pilgrim special trains during this festive season and with the gradual resumption of domestic tourism in the post pandemic era. In this regard, a series of trains have been planned along the Ramayana Circuit to cover the important places connected with the life of Lord Shri Ram.
The first such train has commenced its journey on 7th November 2021 from New Delhi (Delhi Safdar Jung) and will travel upto Rameswaram and return back to New Delhi (Delhi Safdar Jung). Enroute the train will stop at several important places associated with the life of Lord Shri Ram.
In this Circuit, the train will be stopping at Bhadrachalam Road Station during its return journey from Rameswaram to New Delhi (Delhi Safdar Jung). Bhadrachalam Road station is an important station serving the pilgrim town of Bhadrachalam in the Telangana state. Bhadrachalam is the most important temple town related to Lord Shri Ram in the state of Telangana, on the bank of river Godavari. The town is home to Lord Sree Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple.
The stoppage of the Pilgrim special train will provide an opportunity to the travelling pilgrims to have a glimpse of this famous temple and know the significance attached with it.
