The meeting of the Zonal Official Language Implementation Committee was organized through video conference today i.e., on 25th March, 2022 at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad. The meeting was presided by Shri Sanjeev Kishore, General Manager, SCR. Shri Arun Kumar Jain, Additional General Manager, SCR, Shri JK Jain, Mandal Rajbasha Adhikari (MRA) & Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer, SCR and all PHODs, representatives of Divisions and workshops participated in this meeting virtually.
During the meeting, the General Manager said that programs related to Hindi are being organized regularly on this railway, it should be maintained. He asked to give wide publicity to all the incentive schemes run by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Railway Board and asked to encourage the officers and employees of this railway to participate in the competitions organized at all India level. He also said that the rules pertaining to book awards and other incentive schemes implemented by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Official Language and Ministry of Railways should be re-circulated. The image of this railway will be highlighted at all India level if our railway wins prizes in these competitions. He said that the officers should inspect Hindi items during their inspections invariably and asked them to work in Hindi in e-files.
Shri Arun Kumar Jain, AGM/SC said that the content on the website should be uploaded invariably in Hindi-English at the time of uploading. The SWRs and GWRs should also be issued in Hindi-English bilingual form simultaneously.
At the outset of the meeting, MRA & PCME Shri J.K. Jain welcomed honorable GM, AGM/SCR and all the members. He said that the action taken report on the assurances given to the Parliamentary Committee on Official Language during the inspection of the General Manager's office has been sent to the Railway Board in time. All types of Hindi programs are being organized regularly on this railway for the propagation of official language.
Dr. Shyam Sundar Sahu, DGM(OL) had a detailed discussion on the items of previous quarterly Rajbhasha progress report. The information pertaining to the special works done during the previous quarter was given by Shri M.K.Nagaraju, RBA/Hqrs. The representatives of the divisions and workshops presented their reports and informed about the action plan for the next quarter.
