Operating Branch: Headed by Sr. DOM assisted by DOM/G and AOM

 

Functions and working of Operating Department:


Ø The main object of Operating Department is to maintain punctual running of trains, good service with 

    safety to passengers and transportation of Freight & Parcels.

Ø Control office plays vital role in operating department for controlling movement of trains.

For control of movements the section is divided into 2 sections SC-DHNE & SC-MUE.

Ø Involves continuous planning and monitoring resulting in punctual running of trains and faster delivery of goods.

Ø Preparation of Time-Table every year for passenger carrying trains.

Ø Maintenance of all statistical records pertaining to coaching and goods traffic.
