South Central Railway is committed for accident free transportation for both passenger and freight. However, in case of eventuality, it is prepared to handle it efficiently in shortest possible time.
South Central Railway is equipped with Nine class "B" Accident Relief Trains (ARTs) with Hydraulic Re-Railing Equipment (HRE) and other tools for restoration, Five class "A" with HRE & 140 T capacity Diesel Hydraulic cranes for restoration, and Ten Medical Relief Vans (MRV) with Hydraulic Rescue Devices (HRD), Electrical cutting equipment (Cold cutting equipment) at strategic location over entire zone.
One MG class "A" ART with HRE along with 35 T Steam crane and One MRV are also available on only one MG section between Akola - Khandwa.
Committed expert gangs are provided on all ART, 140 T crane and MRVs for Rescue and Restoration operations.
