DIESEL TRACTION TRAINING CENTRE – GUNTAKAL

Diesel Traction Training Centre, Guntakal is a zonal training centre catering the training needs of Diesel Loco Running staff of South Central Railway and Shed Artizan staff of Diesel Loco Shed, Guntakal and Gooty.

Good work done and Innovations by DTTC:

·A Trouble shooting guide on HHP Locomotive in multi color published by DTTC/GTL was unveiled by Sri. AswiniLohani, Chairman Railway Board in Nov- 2018. HHP Loco technology is different than conventional ALCO Locos. Most of the running staff find it difficult to handle as well as troubleshoot the Loco. The initiative was taken by DTTC to publish a trouble shooting guide on HHP Locomotives with pictorial representation for better understanding of LP/ALP. A total of 5000 books were published and distributed to all the Divisions of SCR. The guide has been very much helpful to Crew.

·DTTC/GTL has prepared training videos on various modules in train operations which was inaugurated by Sri VinodkumarYadav GM/SCR in Dec-2018. And the same was uploaded in Youtube having more likes and Shares.

·DTTC/GTL has prepared in house multimedia animations on various modules of Diesel locomotive Systems. Same is supplied to other training centers over Indian Railways for easy teaching and understanding the concepts of the complicated subject by the trainees.

·Apart from catering the training needs of South Central Railway, DTTC/GTL caters the training needs of foreign Railways viz. S.E.C.Rly, E.Co.Rly, W.Rly, S.W.Rly and Vishakapatanam Port Trust trainees.

·At any given point of time, a minimum of 100 trainees are undergoing training in various courses pertaining to Diesel Loco Running Staff.

·Recently in Sep-2019, GM/SWR has awarded an amount of Rs.50000/- as group award in appreciation of good work done during training the trainees of SWR.
