HYDERABAD DIVISION

 

General overview

Hyderabad Division came into existence on 17th February 1978 as a separate Division, bifurcating the erstwhile Secunderabad Division into BG and MG Divisions. Further, w.e.f. 1st April 2003, Nanded Division was carved out of Hyderabad Division. Since then, new lines of Gadwal- Raichur section w.e.f 12.10.2013 & Devarkadra – Makthal section w.e.f. 05-06-2020, have been included in the division to bring it to the present state. Further new lines of Makthal - Krishna section, MOB-Gajwel section and Aknnapet - Medak section will be commissioned.
