Workshop on strengthening of Child protection Mechanisms in Railways - organised by RPF, Secunderabad Division

RPF, Secunderabad Division organized a one day workshop on 'Strengthening of Child protection Mechanisms in Railways' on 2.12.2020 at Centre for Economic and Social studies, Hyderabad in coordination with an international NGO (Terre des Hommes).80 RPF, GRP, Operating and Commercial supervisors and staff attended the workshop.

 Sri. Mahesh Bhagwat, IPS, RACHAKONDA COMMISSIONER, Sri.G.M.ESWARA RAO, IG-PCSC/ SCR were Chief Guests and Guest of Honor, Sr.DSC/SC, Sr.DSC/HYD, SC/SC, ASC/SC,IPF's/HYB, SC, BTNR, KCG, CG, David from UNICEF, *TDH- NGO Netherlands and their team members, CWC Chairman, Khammam, collaborated the Workshop.


            


RPF during lockdown:

I.SECUNDERABD DIVISION has successfully executed running of the First Shramik Special train in the country for transporting the stranded migrant labours and stood as an example for proper planning and execution.



II.134 shramik specials have been operated from Secunderabad Division to other parts of the country duly transporting 1,77,808 migrant labourers.

III.On an average, daily 58 stabled rakes in 40 locations of Secunderabad Division are guarded against miscreant activity and theft.

IV.Cops of RPF distributed food to the needy amid COVID19 lock down.Around 20, 000 migrant labourers, were provided with food and essential commodities by RPF, SC Division. Further, 12,981 contractor workers, coolies, employees and stranded passengers were provided with food/essential commodities etc. Apart from above, NGOs have distributed essential commodities to 999 persons through RPF.

V.261 migrants were detained while walking along the track over Secunderabad Division and they were handed over to jurisdictional Local Police/State authority.

VI.Secunderabad Division was instrumental in motivating the officers and staff and NGOs which lead to:

a.Feeding 12069 poor people by distributing food packets

b.Distribution of 59 grocery kits to families of needy.

c.Distribution 132 grocery kits to poor/auto/private/Home Guards.
