As per Article 343(1) of Indian Constitution, Hindi is the official Language of the Union. Therefore to ensure the compliance of constitutional and Legal Provisions relating to the Official Language and to propagate the use of Hindi in the Official work of the Union, Department of Official Language came into force as an Independent Department of Home Ministry in June 1975. From that time itself this department is continuously making efforts in the use of Hindi in Official work of the Union.
Rajbhasha Department has been formed on Secunderabad Division also for the implementation of Rajbhasha.
Rajbhasha Department is working under the leadership of Sri Bhartesh Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager and under the control of Sri M.Gopal, AMRA & ADRM(I). Sri Hemant Wadekar is Rajbhasha Adhikari. Three Senior Translators and Two Junior Translators are working in the Department. Three posts of Junior Translators are vacant. One Junior Stenographer is also working in the department.
